2025 PAYE annual return: deadline extended to 30 November 2026
The Tax Department announced a further extension on 16 September 2026.
The Tax Commissioner has extended the deadline for employers’ annual PAYE return for tax year 2025 to 30 November 2026. The announcement concerns submission of the annual return; it should not be treated as an extension of other tax or payment deadlines.
Employers should update their filing calendar and ask their payroll adviser to reconcile the return with payroll records before submission. The Tax Department warns that filing after the new deadline attracts a financial charge. This is an administrative deadline announcement, not a new tax exemption.
